ELECTRICAL ENGINEER GENERATION ENTRY-LEVEL

Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities: POWER Engineers, Member of WSP is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to work in our Generation Electrical Department. Openings are available for the Overland Park, KS office. Responsibilities include: Detailed design of generating plant and renewable energy electrical systems under the supervision of a lead electrical engineer Electrical system upgrades under the supervision of a lead electrical engineer Typical tasks include the development of one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, conduit and cable sizing and routing, panel schedules, material take-offs, and writing of specifications Desired Education/Experience: 0-2 years experience Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills Student membership in IEEE AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software experience Construction experience, including electrical construction, would be a plus Intern experience in the design or operation of generating or heavy industrial facilities would be a plus Intern experience at a Consulting Engineering firm would be a plus POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is a global consulting environmental and engineering firm and one of the top design firms in the energy sector.
