Job Description

Our client, a leading technology organization specializing in high-speed silicon interfaces and memory validation, is seeking a Validation Engineer to join their dedicated team. As a Validation Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Memory and Silicon Validation teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for innovation, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Validation Engineer

Location: Santa Clara, CA

What's the Job?

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for high-speed memory interfaces such as DDR5 and LPDDR5.
• Perform electrical and functional validation of memory controllers, PHY, and other silicon interfaces.
• Utilize lab tools including oscilloscopes to debug and validate hardware performance.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to review platform designs and provide detailed feedback for silicon validation.
• Create scripts using languages like Python and Tcl to automate testing processes and analyze data.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 8-9 years of related experience; Master’s degree plus at least 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Proven experience in bringing up or validating DDR4/DDR5, LPDDR4/5 memory interfaces.
• Hands-on experience working in a lab environment with tools such as oscilloscopes.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Tcl, or similar languages, along with working knowledge of FPGA platforms (AMD or Altera).
• Familiarity with AMD Vivado and Vitis tools, embedded processors, and platform-level electrical characterization.
