Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 special education teaching opportunity is available for an educator certified in Significant Intellectual Impairments to support students requiring homebound medical instruction. This part-time contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized academic instruction and support to K-12 students with significant intellectual impairments.
• Deliver homebound medical instruction tailored to individual student needs in compliance with educational and medical guidelines.
• Collaborate with parents, healthcare providers, and school staff to ensure continuity of education for homebound students.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that accommodate student abilities and goals.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and instructional activities.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification in Significant Intellectual Impairments.
• Experience working with students with significant intellectual disabilities, particularly in homebound or medically fragile settings.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to adapt instructional techniques to meet varied student learning needs.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality special education services.
