Recruiter

We're looking for a Recruiter who will help shape our team and drive our company to the next level. In this role, you'll take the lead in ensuring successful driver hiring across multiple Southern locations. You'll own full-cycle recruiting, including on-site recruitment events and driver training coordination, along with assisting on ad hoc projects for recruitment, driver retention, etc.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Take ownership of driver hiring goals in their territory and provide support as needed, including application review, candidate screenings/interviews, on-site career events, manager interview scheduling/coordination, offer extension, etc.
  • Collaborate and train regional hiring managers in best practices.
  • Work closely with broader recruitment team to maintain momentum toward hiring goals with process alignment, data and reporting, advertising strategy, etc.
  • Oversee on-the-job training for driver trainees in their area and matters pertaining to trainee CDLs, on-time terminal starts, etc.
  • Assist Area Driver Managers and Supervisors, Driver Operations and Safety as needed toward improving driver retention, including skill building, driver engagement, problem-solving, labor relations, and ride-along.
  • Champion the safety initiatives for drivers, particularly Be Safe, Backsafe, and ADA.
  • Assist Training and Development with other tasks and projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or another related field preferred
  • 3+ years of in-house, full-cycle recruiting experience
  • Experience in the transportation industry preferred
  • Experience in onboarding and training responsibilities
  • Proactive working style and excitement to drive projects and make them happen
  • Track record of influencing stakeholders and hiring managers
  • Ability to travel across region, as needed
