Monarch NC, a provider of high-quality and trauma-informed care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders, is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our Behavioral Health team in Wilson, NC.

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe medications for the people we support, which may include, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics diagnosed with mental disorders under direction of a qualified health care provider to enhance their quality of life. You will assess individuals for mental health disorders and make an appropriate DSM diagnosis (es). You will also provide education to individuals to aid in understanding their diagnoses and recommend appropriate treatment; involve and educate family members and other supports in treatment when appropriate; and encourage individuals to participate in mental health therapy when appropriate.

To qualify, candidates must have the following:

***A Master's degree in Nursing is required.
***Candidates must be a North Carolina Psychatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHP).
***At least 2 years of experience working with people with a mental health and/or substance use disorder diagnosis.
