Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Job Description

Location: Yonkers, New York

Position Type: Full-time

Setting: Outpatient Hospital Based OB/GYN Clinical Practices

Overview:

Symphony Medical is seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join our growing outpatient OB/GYN team in Westchester County, just north of New York City. This full-time position focuses on prenatal care, gynecologic visits, assistance with vaginal deliveries, and collaborative patient management in a supportive team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive outpatient prenatal and gynecologic care.
• Conduct wellness visits, family planning consultations, and postpartum follow-up.
• Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians and support staff for coordinated patient care.
• Perform vaginal deliveries in collaboration with Symphony Medical OB team.
• Educate patients on reproductive health, childbirth preparation, and preventive care.

Schedule & Clinical Details:

• 40 hours a week, including one Saturday per month.
• Outpatient office locations and delivery support.

Qualifications:

• Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) licensure in New York State.
• Master's degree in nursing or Midwifery from an accredited institution.
• 1+ year of midwifery experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations encouraged to apply.
• BLS required; NRP certification preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, clinical, and organizational skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $135,000-$155,000 (commensurate with experience).
• Malpractice coverage.
• On-call and overnight shifts not required.
