Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year, serving students in PreK through 8th grade with a guaranteed caseload. This opportunity is situated in a K-12 educational setting within Orland Park, IL and provides a contract for the full school year (CSY).

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification as an SLP with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or as an SLPA
• Experience working in healthcare or school settings preferred
• Pediatric caseload familiarity, ideally with PreK-8 students
• Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for SLPs is welcomed
• Strong skills in assessment, individualized therapy planning, and progress monitoring
• Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student communication goals

Position Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language evaluations for students PreK-8
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
• Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on diverse communication needs
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by school policies and regulatory standards
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the educational planning process
• Support student progress through data collection and ongoing communication with school staff and families
