Job Details We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Land Surveyor to join our leading Engineering firm. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to apply their expertise in GPS, Robotic Total Station, Conventional, Autodesk, MicroStation, and PLS License. As a part of our team, you will be engaged in a variety of projects, offering you a challenging, innovative, and rewarding work environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the field and a strong desire to contribute to our mission of delivering superior engineering solutions.
As a Permanent Land Surveyor, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Performing field surveys, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction staking, and as-built surveys.
2. Operating various surveying instruments such as GPS, Robotic Total Station, and conventional surveying equipment to measure distances, elevations, and angles.
3. Preparing and maintaining sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe and certify findings.
4. Working closely with the engineering team to interpret survey data and assist in the design process.
5. Utilizing Autodesk and MicroStation to develop detailed, accurate survey drawings and specifications.
6. Providing guidance and supervision to survey team members, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
7. Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project objectives and timelines are met.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License.
2. A minimum of 2 years' experience in land surveying.
3. Proficiency in operating GPS, Robotic Total Station, and conventional surveying equipment.
4. Proficient in Autodesk and MicroStation.
5. Strong understanding of survey ethics and technical standards.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
8. Physical fitness, as the role involves fieldwork which may require walking, climbing, and carrying equipment over various types of terrain.
9. A valid driver's license, as travel to different sites may be required.
