Job Overview:
The Emergency Management Specialist provides support for administrative and operational oversight in maintaining an All-Hazards state of readiness within the TriHealth System. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: the sustainment of the TriHealth Emergency Management program in accordance with regulatory entities (i.e., State, CMS, NIMS, FEMA, and Accreditation). Maintains plans, processes, and tools to address multiple levels of an emergency (mitigation, prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery). Assist with the Emergency Operations (Corporate, Site, and Departmental) plan review and revisions. Acts as a project manager to plan and deliver exercises to all sites by establishing cadence, content, and final documents for an effective training while also identifying gaps and improvements to existing plans or new plans. Develop, deliver, and/or coordinate Emergency Management education that will include NIMS, command center operations (response and recovery) and general topics. Assists the executive leadership team during an emergency/disaster in the implementation of response and alternative operational strategies, notification protocols, and other activities as needed. Assists in moving the incident from response to recovery. Represents emergency management on multi-disciplinary project teams (inside and outside of TriHealth). Provides expertise to assess financial and operational impacts. Investigate, research, and make recommendations regarding Emergency Management best practices. Identify system and operational problems and propose pro-active and functional solutions. Assist with Hazards Vulnerability and Risk Analysis. Assists with applications including but not limited to mass notification, incident command and situational awareness. Assists with the preparedness/operational deliverables to the local disaster coalition and management of the ASPR grant funds and disaster supplies for the system. Represents TriHealth Emergency Management with all community partners and stakeholders (i.e. Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS and Emergency Management). Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to interface, influence, and coordinate to work efficiently and effectively with colleagues in multiple locations at all levels across the system.
Our ideal applicant will have 5+ years' experience and be looking to take the next step in their Emergency Management career! Our anticipated annual salary range is between $75,000-$80,000 but is based on experience and therefore can vary.
