Job Description
The Chemical Engineer will provide support and solutions to new and existing products and processes. They will collaborate with customers, vendors, plant personnel, and management to achieve the successful completion of projects and process improvements.
The successful candidate will have expertise in fluid dynamics, steam boiler systems, liquid blending, cooling systems and facility design. While on-the-job training will be provided, a minimum of 4 years of post college experience is a prerequisite.
Sign-on Bonus Details
$500 paid at 60 days, $1000 at 6 months. Must be in good standing to qualify. Bonus will be paid on the next full pay period once the milestone has been reached.
Essential Functions - Design, develop, and/or enhance products or processes to provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Assist the sales team and senior management by providing equipment quotes and general information as requested.
- Develop cost saving solutions for internal use as well as for application to customers in the manufacturing of their product.
- Develop product and process designs to accommodate new production opportunities and to improve existing.
- Evaluate, analyze, and provide contractor quotes for new and existing projects.
- Maintain contact with customers to ensure that meets or exceeds customer satisfaction with respect to chemical engineering projects.
- Travel to equipment vendors to observe, analyze, and evaluate new equipment solutions.
- Assist in production line assembly or set up.
- Train maintenance and production personnel on new equipment and processes
- Provide technical support for customer meetings, trials, and other events as required.
- Provide supervision for equipment and facility design and installations.
- Design and optimize liquid transfer and blending systems.
- Screen potential new raw materials and chemical compositions for safety and chemical hygiene requirements.
Requirements
- Requires an advanced technical degree plus a minimum of 4 years of experience.
- Requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business information, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to write reports and findings and present to all levels of management in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, area, and volume.
- PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) along with Google Suite, Microsoft Outlook, and AutoCAD.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with information.
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
