Job Description

As an Appliance Delivery Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering, installing, repairing, and hauling away appliances and consumer electronics. This position, internally referred to as a Delivery Experience Cadet, encompasses various responsibilities in order fulfillment, ensuring our customers receive top-notch service every step of the way.

During installations, you will assess the best methods for placing major appliances within homes, which includes careful measurement and protection of surroundings, as well as determining whether doors or fixtures need to be adjusted for safe transport.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Attending appointments independently or leading a two-person team up to 30% of the time, with tasks including basic installation and repair of appliances and home theater systems.
• Evaluating the best approach for delivering major appliances into homes, taking into account measurements and any necessary adjustments in the surroundings.
• Removing and re-installing doors and panels as needed to facilitate appliance installation.
• Ensuring a seamless client experience by offering expert advice on product placement and available services.
• Collaborating with team members to manage inventory and vehicle upkeep.
• Completing necessary paperwork, processing payments, providing valuable feedback to store teams, and performing in-store repairs.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 6 months of experience in customer service, sales, installation, or large product delivery.
• A current, valid driver's license.
• A clean driving record that meets Best Buy's safety standards.
• The ability to lift up to 350 pounds individually or 700 pounds as part of a team with proper equipment.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• The ability to acquire any required state or local licensing within 90 days of hiring.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong leadership, decision-making, written and verbal communication, and client relations skills.
