Role Summary & Responsibilities:

 

Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph is seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Registered Nurse to provide specialized care on the Geriatric Psychiatric Unit. This role involves managing the unique needs of the elderly population experiencing acute behavioral and psychological disorders.

 

Required Experience & Skills:

• Experience: A minimum of 1 year (12 months) of recent, relevant nursing experience is required. Experience specifically within a Behavioral Health or Geriatric Psych setting is highly preferred.
• Patient Population: Must be comfortable and competent in caring for elderly patients with various psychiatric conditions.
• EHR System: Proficiency with the Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is required.
• Uniform: Staff are required to wear Ceil Blue scrubs .

General Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current BLS certification (AHA preferred).
• Ability to work the full night shift schedule (19:00 - 08:30).
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills and the ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
