Job Details

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the populations served, including geriatric, pediatric, developmentally-challenged, special needs, and physically-challenged patients.
• Uses the PACS system to transmit and print/burn CDs of patient imaging studies.
• Assists patients by lifting and moving them off and on procedural surfaces and prepares patients for procedures.
• Assists technologists with PACS, room cleaning, and patient prep.
• Assists Radiologists with scheduling patients for US and MRI biopsies and coordinates consultations with oncologists and surgeons for follow-up care.
• Prepares and cleans Spa area.
• May transport patients by wheelchair or assisted walking.
• Registers/pre-registers patients for procedures and exams, pre-logs patients.
• Enters exams into computer system.
• Reviews orders for the following day and verifies order coincides with exam scheduled, including calling physician’s offices for updated orders.
• Greets, identifies, and confirms exam with patient.
• Confirms patient appointments and schedules patient exams as needed.
• Answers all telephone calls promptly and courteously using provided scripts.

Job Requirements

• Spanish bilingual - Required
• BLS - AHA - Required
• Medical terminology is required
• One (1) year of recent experience as a Tech Assistant is required

Additional Details

• Worker will be checking in patients in Meditech, assisting patients with tablets for forms, and passing patients to registration.
