Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 1 Trauma Interventional Radiology role requiring recent IR or ICU experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position based in an acute care Level 1 trauma setting
• Work in Interventional Radiology with body IR patient population only
• Responsibilities include pre-op, intra-op, and post-procedure care for patients under conscious sedation and general anesthesia
• Case types include body IR procedures such as chemoembolization, Y-90, GJ tubes, IVC filters, vascular access, angiograms, CT and ultrasound biopsies, ablations, thoracentesis, and paracentesis
• Unit includes 5 Angio rooms, 2 CT scanners, as well as ultrasound and nuclear medicine capabilities
• Uses Cerner EMR; experience preferred
• 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday coverage as needed; 0730-1800 or similar
• Outpatient and inpatient critical care population; telemetry and ventilators in use
• Orientation consists of 2 shifts specific to the floor
• No on-call responsibilities
• Will not be required to work in neuro endovascular areas
• Unit is supported by charge RN, IR techs, CT, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound techs
• Hospitalist, intensivist, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy available 24/7
• Scrubs are supplied on site
• Holiday coverage may occasionally be required
• Must not have been employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility in the past year
• A permanent residence of at least 50 miles from the facility is required for eligibility in AZ
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Active AZ or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience
• Recent experience in Interventional Radiology or ICU with IR duties required
• Level I trauma experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• Pre-op/PACU and critical care competency required
• Ability to work with Cerner EMR preferred
• Must pass Relias Dysrhythmia exam and sterile technique testing
• Copy of driver’s license required for eligibility
• Must provide two professional references (at least one supervisor from past 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from past 3 years with employment dates and rehire eligibility)
