Our Challenge:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Scrum Master with deep expertise in the Retirement domain to facilitate Agile processes, support cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery of retirement-related projects. The ideal candidate will serve as a servant-leader, removing impediments, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing Agile environment.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Piscataway is $105-110K/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams working on retirement domain projects.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and review meetings to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Guide teams in Agile practices, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and values.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to manage and prioritize product backlogs effectively.
  • Remove impediments that hinder the team’s progress and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Drive team performance and foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Liaise between stakeholders and development teams to ensure clarity and alignment on project goals.
  • Monitor and report on team metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Leverage retirement domain knowledge to provide insights and ensure domain-specific best practices are followed.
  • Assist in planning releases, managing dependencies, and coordinating cross-team activities.

Must Have skills:

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Retirement domain (e.g., pension plans, retirement benefits, insurance, etc .).
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks , especially Scrum and Kanban .
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master , or equivalents.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile tools like Jira, Rally.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience managing or working within retirement or financial services projects.
  • Ability to mentor team members and promote best practices.
