World Leader in Sun Protection You Wear Job Summary The Web Developer is responsible for the design, development and testing web of applications, as well as maintaining and enhancing applications. Additionally, they will support promotional and CMS updates, analytics and integration tools. Duties and Responsibilities: Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, and CSS Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to themes and apps Collaborate with design, marketing, and operations teams to support business objectives Apply best practices in ecommerce, including SEO, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and user experience (UX/UI) principles Maintain and update content across the Shopify ecommerce platform Manage and optimize product data, including tags, collections, and custom fields, to ensure accurate categorization and improved search functionality Conduct A/B testing across pages and sections to improve performance and user engagement Assist with integrations between Shopify and third-party platforms Optimize website performance to ensure fast load times and a seamless user experience Qualifications: Proven experience with the Shopify platform, including Shopify Plus Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision Comfortable using productivity tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Docs Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning Experience configuring, customizing, and testing third-party Shopify apps Solid understanding of ecommerce principles and current online retail trends Experience building scalable and maintainable solutions with page builders like EComposer or Shogun Knowledge of SEO best practices Skills in user interface and user experience design Nice to Have: Experience with Shopify Functions, Flow, and Scripts Familiarity with Matrixify for bulk data management and import/export Experience working with Figma or other design tools Understanding development principles including Functional and Object-Oriented Programming, Model View Controller (MVC), and Dependency Injection (DI) Ability to problem solve, prioritize, and communicate well Strong teamwork and collaboration skills Resourceful, quick, and agile Friendly, self-motivated, goal-oriented, creative, professional, who can work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to coordinate multiple projects concurrently, manage levels of priority and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently with a minimum amount of direction Project Management experience Ability to work off hours when problems come up.
