Job Overview
The Senior/Executive Director of Business Operations & Chief of Staff at Sequel Med Tech will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the company's operational functions while serving as a key strategic partner to the CEO. This position combines responsibilities in business operations, strategic planning, and executive support, requiring a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of medical device industry dynamics, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a strong aptitude for driving operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
· Collaborate closely with the CEO to develop and execute the company's strategic initiatives, translating vision into actionable plans.
· Lead and oversee the daily operations of various departments, ensuring cross-functional alignment and efficient execution of business objectives.
· Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
· Drive process improvements across departments, streamlining workflows and enhancing operational efficiency.
· Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, measure success, and identify areas for improvement.
· Serve as the primary point of contact between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders, fostering effective communication and relationship management.
· Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, reports, and analyses for the CEO and the Board of Directors.
· Play a pivotal role in talent management, including recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of team members.
· Manage special projects as directed by the CEO, ensuring their successful execution within specified timelines and resource constraints.
Minimum Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
· 8+ years of progressive experience in business operations, strategic planning, or related roles within the medical device industry.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Proven track record of leadership, with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence.
· Strong understanding of the medical device landscape, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
· Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
· Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
· Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of balancing long-term vision with short-term execution
· High level of adaptability, resourcefulness, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
· Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
· Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
