Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant

Department: Finance

FLSA Status: Salaried - Exempt

Established Workweek: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm

Job Summary:

A detailed oriented person to be the Staff Accountant who will assist with all accounting and financial aspects of the business. A strong attention to detail and drive for success in accounting functions. This role will report to the Controller.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist Controller with month end closing process.

· Produce recurring journal entries.

· Process general ledger reconciliations.

· Supply cost accounting analysis.

· Track and monitor project accounting.

· Prepare budgets.

· Cross-function auditing.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

· Other projects may arise through the course of the fiscal year.

Qualifications, Experience, and Specific Skills Required:

Education/Experience: At least 3-7 years’ experience. High School diploma required, college degree in accounting preferred. Understanding of GAAP.

Specific Skills: Detail focused. High degree of ethics. Strong computer skills with excellent data entry skills. Microsoft based experience with a focus on Outlook, and strong skills in Excel and Word. Ability to be a self-starter who can exercise sound independent judgement in managing and prioritizing your daily responsibilities. Understanding and demonstrating ability to multi-task to meet changing deadlines. Ability to take the initiative in recommending/making changes for efficiency improvements. Strong effective communication skills both written and oral. Ability to maintain professional work relationships. Position requires periods of time working in a stationary position, close range computer work.
