Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

Team Overview:

The reader Software Test and Quality team (StaQ) ensures that Impinj reader products behave in accordance with RAIN RFID and Impinj feature specifications. We work closely with other teams: Systems Engineering, Product Management, and software/firmware development. We advocate for internal and external customers of our products to ensure the best possible experience using our reader products.

What You Will Do:

• Design, develop and maintain automated tests written in python
• Manage CI systems; configure workflows to run the right tests at the right cadence
• Create and maintain infrastructure and tooling used for testing
• Track, triage and report CI failures
• Work with tools like JIRA and Confluence to track stories and document processes

What You Will Bring:

• 5 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test
• Bachelors degree in CS, EE or equivalent experience
• 5 years experience writing automation scripts and building test frameworks
• Comfortable working in Linux environments
• Very competent with python, familiar with C/C++
• Solid written and verbal communication skills

The typical base pay range for this role across the US is $106,000 - $163,000 . Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid-point of the pay range is reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employees role.
