Position Summary

At Metrea, our People Partners are strategic partners who shape the employee experience and unlock business potential. This newly created role involves driving initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, support employee growth, and strengthen our high-performance culture. Youll be a trusted consultant to leaders across support functions in the U.S., guiding them through people-related opportunities and challenges with insight, empathy, and business acumen.

We seek a senior leader comfortable influencing strategy at the senior level and engaging in employee relations. Success involves balancing strategy and actiondesigning scalable people practices, advising on complex employee matters, and tackling tough problems with curiosity and pragmatism.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leverage a consultative approach with business leaders on People and Talent strategy.
  • Provide guidance on policies, procedures, and complex employment matters.
  • Manage onboarding programs to facilitate early integration and productivity.
  • Support benefits actions throughout the employee lifecycle, including enrollment and employee inquiries.
  • Manage employee relations actions such as employment verifications, leaves of absence, counseling, and exit interviews.
  • Develop, coach, and manage People Generalists, supporting their daily requests and challenges.
  • Oversee payroll operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and operating procedures within Business Units.
  • Monitor legal compliance related to employment laws at federal and state levels.
  • Lead and ensure compliance of training programs within Business Units.
  • Perform other duties related to the People function as required.

Required Education, Experience, and Certificates

  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years resolving complex employee relations issues in HR roles such as HR Business Partner or HR Director.
  • Knowledge of HR disciplines including compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws.

Certificates and Licenses

  • Professional in Human Resources or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
