Job Overview TE's Aerospace Defense & Marine Division is currently seeking a highly motivated
Senior Manufacturing and Process Development Engineer - New Products to deliver the engineering design, development, and implementation of next generation manufacturing technologies and processes. Manufacturing Development works closely with Product Development and Operations
ONSITE. Job Requirements \n - Launch new product at world class quality and cost at pace of customer demand.
\n - Infuse strong DFM/DFA principles to ensure delivery of robust, efficient and cost-effective designs that are manufacturable at full scale.
\n - Deliver product designs that align with current manufacturing capabilities.
\n - Develop new manufacturing processes to support customer driven product innovation as needed.

The candidate must have prior experience with: \n - Optical manufacturing principles such as single and multi-fiber termination
\n - Test methods of optical connectors
\n - Active optical assembly.
\n
\n
Additionally, this candidate should have basic knowledge of industry standards surrounding environmental and mechanical performance of optical connectors.
Primary responsibilities include: Execution of Manufacturing deliverables to the NPD Phase Gate process including:
\n - New process and equipment compliance with TE safety and ergonomic policies
\n - DFM/A input into the early stages of product design
\n
\n
\n - PFMEA and implementation of high-risk mitigation plans
\n - Manufacturing capacity analysis
\n - Value stream mapping
\n - Assembly tooling and equipment development
\n - Process qualification via capability studies
\n - Execution of sample builds including generation of first article inspection reports
\n - Generation of process specifications
\n

Develop and implement new manufacturing technologies and automation appropriately to support customer driven new product innovation.
Apply a lean manufacturing focus to drive world class cost on new product and fuel plant-level productivity initiatives on fiber optic manufacturing processes.
Support TE's global operations footprint as a subject matter expert for fiber optic manufacturing processes.
Liaise with manufacturing facilities to support preliminary cost estimates on new product concepts.
What your background should look like \n - A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Optical, or Manufacturing Engineering with 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, at least 2 of which is related to fiber optic product.
\n - Experience with machine, equipment and process design, development, and deployment into a production environment.
\n - Hands-on problem solver with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
\n - Knowledge and experience implementing Lean Six Sigma principles preferred. Green or Black Belt certification a plus.
\n - Must be able to effectively operate in remote teams with broad geographic footprints.
\n - Excellent time management skills and the ability to balance priorities while working under the pressure of demanding project schedules.
\n - Strong written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization.
\n - Proficient with 3D CAD software as well as general Microsoft Office applications.

COMPENSATION • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $103,000 - $150,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
