As a Security Professional - Utilities Patrol - Overnight Shift in Sparks, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a utilities location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all individuals on site. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the area using a company vehicle, responding promptly to any security-related concerns, and assisting with access control as needed. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor for and report any irregularities or security-related concerns within the utilities environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
  • Document incidents and observations according to site-specific protocols and Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements; driving experience is preferred for primarily driving posts.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
