Who we’re looking for:

RESTAURANT AND BAR MANAGER

Amazing restaurants don’t get that way by chance—they all have dependable, disciplined, detail-oriented managers at the helm. Our Restaurant and Bar Manager is responsible for the management, direction and organization of all restaurant operations, right down to ensuring that the food and beverage quality and service maintains impeccable standards while maximizing profits.

What to expect:

Here are a few things that will make your days full and rewarding:

  1. Heading up restaurant functions: food planning/preparation, liquor, beer, wine knowledge and service, sanitation, company policies and procedures, team member management, recordkeeping, and completion of required reports.
  2. Ensure consistency with company SOP’s to include proper ordering, receiving, rotation, inventory and waste disposal.
  3. Estimate food and alcohol needs, place orders with distributors, schedule the delivery, receiving and inventory of all supplies.
  4. Ensure that the restaurant/bar operates within budgetary parameters.
  5. Ensure consistency of high quality food and all drink preparation, presentation, and service.
  6. Ensure compliance of sanitary practices for food and prepared beverage service handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of the kitchen, bar and dining areas.
  7. Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, alcohol, n/a beverage, supply, utility and labor costs.
  8. Interview, select, hire and train restaurant/bar team members.
  9. Supervise, coach and mentor team members to create an environment that encourages the development and growth of all team members.
  10. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant/bar staffing needs. Prepare schedules, cover shifts and ensure staffing for all shifts.
  11. Prepare performance reviews and provide assessment of team members’ performance and development. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback. Prepare counseling documentation and conduct counseling meetings as necessary.

Your experience and qualifications:

  1. Two-year degree from an accredited University in Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major.
  2. Minimum two years of experience in bar and restaurant management.
  3. Extensive knowledge of mixology and a passion for staying current with liquor, beer and wine industry trends.
  4. Food Handler’s permit, Serve Safe Management Certificate and TIP’s required.
  5. Previous High volume bar experience preferred.
  6. Thorough knowledge of food and all beverage products including cocktail recipes, menus and promotions.
  7. Knowledge and application of safety, sanitation, food handling and liquor service procedures.
  8. Excellent verbal and written business communication skills.
  9. Ability to effectively interact with all hotel guests and team members in a polite and positive manner.
  10. Provide a “lead by example” approach in an effort to create a positive team culture.
