The Role:

The Nonclinical Sciences team at Moderna is looking for an agile, high-performing, and broadly-skilled individual to contribute to the successful execution of discovery programs. The majority of this work will be done in collaboration with internal partners and external contract research organizations (CROs). The successful candidate will be able to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent work streams with a positive and collaborative mentality and with the ability to manage workload to meet project timelines.

Here's What You’ll Do:

• Implement procedures to streamline, track, improve, and control flow of samples from internal and external studies to investigators and with CROs

• Collect, prepare, and manage tissues samples for histological evaluation

• Collaborate with program scientists to collect, manage, dispatch, and archive samples from in-house and outsourced studies

• Develop tissue-based molecular assays such as single- & multi-plex IHC and ISH

• Collaborate with internal partners from different functional groups at Moderna (e.g. New Venture Labs, Chemistry, Formulations, Cell Biology, Drug Product Development, Therapeutic Area Ventures)

• Scan slides using 3DHisTech scanners, Akoya PhenoImager, and potentially other imaging platforms

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

Minimum Requirements

• Life sciences bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of sample management experience, in both GLP and nonGLP settings

• Very high proficiency with Windows-based applications (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint).

Preferred

• Experience in sample management

• Experience in QC/QA highly desirable

• Pharma/biotech experience

• Review and QC data from nonclinical toxicology, pathology, and DMPK

• Image analysis experience

• Histology experience
