CSI Companies is actively hiring for a REMOTE Pro-Fee Medical Coder for full-time hours ( minimum 30 hours a week) to join our growing Managed Services team.

Working for CSI as a Pro-Fee Medical coder in our Managed Services team will offer you the opportunity to:

• Required Certification: Active certified coder certification through AHIMA or AAPC required: CPC, CCS-P( Certified Professional Coder, Certified Coding Specialist- Physician Based), RHIA or RHIT
• Pay: $22-29/hr based on experience- Tiered hourly compensation models based on performance and years of experience with biannual reviews by CSI Team Leads. 
• In House Expert Coding Support - mentoring, coaching, QA, CEUs
• Small team environment of 10-12 coders for peer support and collaboration
• Reporting to an assigned CSI Team Lead that performs internal quality control and provides 1:1 weekly remediation and coaching
  
   

• Provide high quality E/M, procedure coding for Primary Care.
• This position also may provide education to providers related to coding.
• Provide quality review and analysis of patient medical records and ensure accuracy of coding and maintain records in accordance with accepted medical and legal standards
• Physician services to include identification of professional services in and complete review of medical records to accurately optimize all professional services documented for billing.
• Comply with the Standards of Ethical Coding as set forth by the American Health Information Management Association and adhere to official coding guidelines
• Comply with HIPAA laws and regulations
• Maintain quality and production standards required by company - all medical coders must maintain minimum QA passing requirements. Quality expectations are 95% accuracy on all projects.
• Remain current on ICD-10-CM and E&M Pro Fee coding guidelines.

• Active certified coder certification ( CPC, CCS – P, RHIT, RHIA) through AHIMA or AAPC
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a certified coder
• Minimum 1 year of Pro Fee coding experience
• Ability to code using an ICD-10-CM code book
• Computer proficiency (including MS Windows, MS Office, and the Internet
• High-speed Internet access

• Knowledge of HIPAA, recognizing a commitment to privacy, security and confidentiality of all medical chart documentation
• Strong clinical knowledge related to chronic illness diagnosis, treatment and management
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM outpatient diagnosis coding guidelines (knowledge and demonstrated understanding of Risk Adjustment coding and data validation requirements is highly preferred)
• Reliability and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines
• Personal discipline to work remotely without direct supervision
• Exemplary attention to detail and completeness
• Strong organization, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Written and oral communication skills
• Analytical skills
