Job Description Company Profile Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services and products, primarily to the offshore energy industry. Position Summary Manufacturing Quality Control work includes: \n Auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards. \n Testing random samples of finished goods. \n Reporting manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods and liaising with Quality Assurance to troubleshoot and resolve problems. \n \n LOCATION: ~ Requires daily onsite attendance; this is not a remote-work position. \n Duties And Responsibilities ESSENTIAL \n Receiving inspection and testing. \n In-process inspecting and testing in accordance with Quality System work instructions. Included in this are reading, drawings/blueprints, determining methods for dimensional inspections, inspection of paint and other coatings, weld inspection, and identification of material and inspected items to show inspection status. \n Final inspection to verify that items exhibit acceptable workmanship, and that inspection reports/certificate of conformance are completed and ready for shipment with the product. \n Visual weld inspection of welds and base material. \n Maintenance of logs, filling out nonconforming material reports, and other required records of inspection and tests. \n Assuring that inspection gages and equipment are in current calibration. \n \n NON-ESSENTIAL: ~ Other duties as assigned. \n Qualifications REQUIRED: \n All induction and HSSE training will be completed \n QC-01 competency plan completed \n \n DESIRED: \n Basic Technical Mathematics \n Blueprint Reading \n Inspection, measuring and Test Equipment \n Materials and Processes \n Inspection Planning \n Inspection Technology \n Basic Statistics \n Computer literacy \n \n KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS: \n Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. \n Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. \n Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. WORKING CONDITIONS: This position is considered SHOP WORK which is characterized as follows. \n Generally, work performed indoors (80%) and occasional outdoors (20%).
