Join Our Team as a Part-Time Park Attendant!

The Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District is on the lookout for a friendly, dedicated professional to join our team as a Part-Time Park Attendant . If you have a passion for people and the outdoors, a knack for detail, and you are a strong communicator, we'd love to hear from you!

About the Role:

You'll play a crucial part in maintaining two of the District's parks. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Customer Service : Greet park patrons
  • Safety : Enforcing park rules
  • Reservation Preparation : Preparing pavilion areas for reservations
  • Maintenance and Cleaning : Regularly inspect, maintain, repair, and clean park facilities and grounds
  • Independence: Problem solve on the fly
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other Facilities Technicians and Park staff to complete tasks
  • Adaptability : Rain or shine, you'll be out there, so embrace all seasons and be open to shifting priorities. Because the public loves and visits our parks on weekends and holidays, working them is a priority.

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of related work experience involving general maintenance and contact with the public
  • Must be able to pass a background check and Live Scan (criminal background check) conducted by the District as a condition of employment
