FGA is currently seeking an experienced Robotics Engineer with experience in paint application processes, a passion for automation, and a desire to advance their career. BENEFITS OF WORKING WITH US Medical, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid life insurance 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting Per diem provided for travel Commitment to workplace diversity and inclusion Opportunities for professional growth and advancement WHAT YOU WILL DO Promote and comply with all safety standards Program and configure painting robots for various industrial applications Optimize robotic paint application processes to achieve high-quality finishes Collaborate effectively with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders Support electrical and software design as needed Configure interference zones, I/O, and vision systems Perform robot setup including mastering, TCP, payload, and offline programs Troubleshoot and debug PLCs in coordination with the Controls Engineer Optimize cycle times and improve throughput Familiar with Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, Nachi, or Kuka paint robots Sealer experience either in paint or prior to the paint shop we can look at, acronyms like underbody seam seal, exterior seam seal, interior seam seal & exterior seam seal, Hem Sealing, liquid apply sound dampening, cavity wax. Knowledge of paint process, film build up, and addressing orange peel and paint quality issues Familiar with 1k & 2k paint systems, paint atomizers - rotary bells Fiat Chrysler, GM, Ford, Tier 1, BodyShop, BatteryShop and BuildShop experience is an asset Experience with Line Tracking Apply experience in material handling, spot welding, MIG welding, and sealing/dispensing Utilize DCS, Safe Op, and Safe Move functions GRS certification is an asset WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM 2–5 years of experience as a Robotics Engineer Paint/Sealant shop experience Strong knowledge of robotic systems integration Preferred knowledge of PLC controls systems Previous experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry Extensive commissioning experience Ability to travel to customer sites across North America Valid passport and driver’s license Eligibility for a TN Visa To learn more about our organization, visit our website at fletchergroupautomation.com.
