Job Overview The ideal candidate will have a passion for advancing pediatric ophthalmology care, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to practice development within an academic setting. This is an exciting time for the division, which is part of the newly established academic division of Ophthalmology at ECU Health and the Brody School of Medicine. As the program moves forward with its application for an ACGME-accredited residency program, the candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of the division. A site visit for the residency program was conducted in January 2025, and the program anticipates welcoming its first class of 3 residents per year in 2026. • Children u2019s hospital medical staff includes Pediatric Neurosurgery, Pediatric General Surgery, Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery, and Pediatric Plastic Surgery ECU Health Physicians includes an academic practice model (ECU employment) and a community practice model (health system employment). There is shared leadership and shared services to support the overall group and to ensure alignment for clinical care, research, education and strategy. This innovative structure creates opportunities within ECU Health Physicians ranging from acute to ambulatory, academic practice to community practice, regional to rural, and everything in between.
