Job Description

The Operations Manager serves on the program management team for the Global Anti-Terrorism Assistance (GATA) III contract.

Responsibilities:

• The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for day-to-day management and supervision of the performance and implementation of task orders and subsequent training authorizations.
• The OM has day-to-day responsibility for the contractor operations.
• The OM leads actions performed by the contractor and coordinates directly with Antiterrorism Assistance (ATA) on operational issues.
• The OM implements training orders as agreed and supervises all assigned contractor personnel.
• The OM communicates regularly with ATA program representatives to meet training order requirements.
• The OM shall be available during normal duty hours to meet with U.S. Government personnel to discuss problem areas.
• The OM manages staffing and equipment priorities in coordination with the Training Coordinator (TC) and / or designated personnel.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or substantial, demonstrated expertise in operational management, international training, or civilian security training programs.
• A minimum of five (5) years' experience managing overseas programs or projects, preferably involving training services for foreign law enforcement or other non-U.S. personnel.
• A minimum of five (5) years' of supervisory experience responsible for operations management of up to 50 subordinate staff and intermittent contractors.
• Experience working with Department of State Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Office of Antiterrorism Assistance (DS/T/ATA).
• Experience in effectively dealing with international and headquarters staff, and sensitivity to other cultures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Office and PowerPoint.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be eligible for a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) clearance.
• Willing and able travel to austere/hazardous locations as necessary.
