BrightStar Care is currently seeking compassionate and dependable live-in caregivers who are willing to travel to serve clients in Rochester, the Twin Cities, and Duluth. This role involves providing one-on-one care in a home setting, supporting clients with daily living activities, companionship, and personalized attention. Candidates must have their own reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance. We’re looking for individuals who are flexible, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality care across multiple regions. Live in caregivers are an 7 days on 7 days off schedule. Premium Short Shift Pay: We offer a variety of shift Lengths ranging from 1 hour to 12 hours. Our 1-hour shifts get paid at $30 per hour and hour 2-hour shifts get paid at $22.50 an hour. Any shift 3 hours or longer is paid at a base rate between $19-$22 based on experience.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide companionship and conversation to enhance the lives of our clients.
Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
Provide physical assistance such as bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
Accompany clients to appointments or social outings, providing transportation as needed.
Monitor and report changes in the client’s health, behavior, and needs.
Act as a member of the Care coordination team to communication with the RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.
Requirements:
A compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience providing care to clients in a hands-on environment (Home Health, Assisted Living, Group Home, Hospital Setting)
Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license with Auto Insurance.
Negative TB test or Cleared Chest-Xray.
Availability to work 2 weekend days per month.
