Job Title: Lifeguard
Department: Outdoor Operations
Reports to: Lifeguard Supervisor
Position Summary:
Looking to hire for our upcoming season. We will be opening around memorial weekend. Hours are Mon -Fri 12pm-8pm Sat -Sun 10am-8pm This position is responsible for maintaining safe swimming conditions for our guests, their families, and daily visitors at our outdoor floating waterpark attraction.
Role and Responsibilities:
● Perform waterpark opening and closing procedures according to scheduled hours.
● Attentiveness to visual and audible cues for recognition and identification of swimmers in distress or in unsafe behaviors
● Closely monitoring activities related to the waterpark area, identifying any safety issues throughout the shift
● Demonstrate leadership, customer service, and decision-making skills
● Closely monitoring weather reports to make sure guests remain safe
● Maintaining a safe and clean environment
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
● Possess or obtain a lifeguard certification through the American Red Cross
Physical Requirements & Demands:
● This position requires repeated bending, squatting, and standing for long hours.
● Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
