Title : Library Assistant I (Page), Part Time, Circulation Department Specific Job Duties Checking in items Sorting returned material Shelving returned material Reading and straightening shelves to ensure material is in proper location Assisting patrons on library floor Assist with various tasks, projects, and programs Abilities, Skills, and Knowledge Required Proficient with computer use, knowledge of library automation software desirable Proficient with Microsoft Office or comparable program suite. Experience withMicrosoft Teams or similar program desirable Ability to move carts and bins loaded with library materials Ability to remain in a stationary position for the majority of the shift Ability to arrange in alphabetical and numeric order Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with work associates andpublic Ability to diplomatically address patron complaints Education Requirements High school diploma or GED, or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides required abilities, skills, and knowledge. Library experience not required. Hours and Pay 38 hours bi-weekly. Must be willing to work every other weekend as required. Starting pay at $16.78 per hour. No benefits.
