Krugel Cobbles, Inc. is seeking a Landscape Designer to join our team! We are a collaborative team that enjoys an excellent reputation in our industry. Reporting directly to the Principal, your role will help to provide our designs for our clients and installers. We have a creative and successful environment that continues to deliver excellence.
Krgel Cobbles, Inc. is a family owned landscape masonry contractor in business for 42 years throughout the North Shore, Western suburbs, and the City of Chicago. We specialize in providing thoughtful personal service and the highest quality craftsmanship to the informed high end consumer. Our services include stone and brick driveways, pool decks and outdoor kitchens.
Duties and Responsibilities for Our Landscape Designer Include: - Take field measurements, plats of survey, photos and design input from sales staff to design attractive and creative hardscape plans
- Create construction details, elevations and layout plans that the construction team will use to build our projects
- Supervise design execution in the field as necessary
- Create Sketch Up and Photo Shop images to assist in the sales of project in order communicate the design vision to the clients
- Contact clients and effectively communicate ideas and design concepts so that they are understandable and appealing
- Thrive in a fast paced environment where one can be working on 10 to 15 designs (in some facet of development) at any one time
- Perform the entire process necessary for obtaining permits from municipalities
- Assist in the management of marketing efforts
Qualifications for Landscape Designer Include: - Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and SketchUp software
- 2 years of working experience in landscape design
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
- A self-directed person without the need for intense management
- An organized person with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to speak Spanish would be a plus
- B.S. in Landscape Architecture or related field preferred
What we offer to Landscape Designer: - $65,000 to $85,000 commensurate with experience
