Position Summary:

Quality Claims is looking for a Junior Private Investigator to work with our investigative staff. Qualified individual is not required to be individually licensed but must be able to successfully complete the background screening necessary to become an investigator. This position provides hands-on training and experience in working actual case assignments for a private investigative agency and hazard claims adjustment company. The candidate will perform investigations to include, skip tracing, background investigations, locating subjects evading service of process and surplus funds.

The ideal candidate is looking for a career as a private investigator or has previous experience with performing investigative work in other fields such as law enforcement, military, insurance, etc.

Position Responsibilities:

• Collect information, documentation, and physical evidence associated with investigations
• Perform online research and genealogy research
• Obtain records online or through state and local agencies
• Interview subjects and extract information
• Draft formal investigative reports and emails
• Identify and compile supporting documents
• Calculating billable hours worked and preparing invoices
• Enter notes and update files
• Source local investigators (nationwide) for in-person interviews
• Provide other direct assistance to investigative staff throughout the investigative process
• Other connected duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Entry level position. No prior experience required with extensive training provided under a fully licensed Investigator
• High school diploma
• Some college preferred or submission of a cover letter and/or writing sample (Preference for candidates majoring in Criminology, Investigative journalism, and similar)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate by phone
• Ability to connect with people
• An inquisitive nature/ability to solve puzzles
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong online research skills
• Bi-lingual (Spanish & English) preferred

Work Schedule:

The work week is typically Monday through Friday, with business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Salary Range:

The salary for this position typically ranges from $21 - $23 hourly, depending on qualifications, experience, and other factors. Please note that the final offer may differ based on the candidate's specific qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity and business needs.

Work Environment:

Corporate office environment with a professional setting, characterized by a quiet to moderate noise level. Employees may work in individual or shared workspaces, with standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones.
