Design Assistant to an award-winning Interior Designer in Palos Verdes Peninsula. Part time position to assist with expediting, sourcing furniture & materials, drafting, billing, and office organization for multiple residential projects. We seek someone who is prompt, self-motivated, enthusiastic, can multi-task and is meticulously organized.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in formulating designs and selections that are aesthetic and conducive to the client
- Shopping for furniture, fabrics, lighting, plumbing fixtures & sourcing materials
- Research images and prepare sketches and documentation for client presentation
- Request estimates & quotes, generate proposals and purchase orders
- General administrative duties and office organization
Qualifications:
- 1 -2 years of design experience or education
- Fluent in Excel
- Computer drafting skills to create interior floor plans, elevations and custom furnishings using AutoCad, InDesign, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop.or other design programs
- Knowledge of design resources in the Los Angeles area
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
