DEKA Service, an HVAC/R mechanical contractor based in Fenton, MO is seeking a talented Sales Manager to join our team and help us grow our business. We operate as DEKA Service, Townend Heating and Cooling and Jack’s Refrigeration for commercial, residential and refrigeration customers respectively. We offer residential, commercial and commercial kitchen HVAC/R maintenance, repair and installation services throughout St. Louis, Saint Charles, Jefferson and Franklin Counties.

Summary

The HVAC Sales Manager is responsible for management of HVAC/R business development activities including sales, marketing and advertising responsibilities. This includes development and management of residential & light commercial sales staff and direct sales to key accounts. The ideal person for this role will be able to hire, train, coach and develop successful salespeople while also working on closure of sales to larger more complex commercial accounts.

Knowledge of HVAC/R equipment, their operation and the industry is required. The ability to identify and understand the needs of customers and how to match our products and services to meet those needs is also required.

 

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of residential and light commercial HVAC/R products and services.
  • Building a sales team that elevates annual revenue year-over-year.
  • Recruit, train, motivate and manage HVAC salespeople to on develop and close leads.
  • Generating leads through direct contact, networking, events, referrals, and partnerships.
  • Create lasting customer relationships and partnerships.
  • Execute annual sales plans and monitor revenue and profit KPI’s to ensure success.
  • Propose ideas for and manage execution of marketing and lead generation initiatives.
  • Prospecting for new commercial and residential business opportunities.
  • Educating homeowners and business owners on HVAC options, energy efficiency, and financing options.
  • Handling objections confidently and closing deals through consultative, ethical sales techniques.
  • Coordinate with the Scheduler, Service Manager and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service personnel to manage customer communications.
  • Track sales activity and develop strategies for continued growth.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in home services sales  or 3+ years in an HVAC service/sales role (both preferred)
  • Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset to a drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and efficiently manage your time.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage salespeople effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Practical knowledge of HVAC industry regulations and safety standards.
  • A clean driving record and successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen test (including marijuana) is required.
