Accommodation is available upon request for candidates participating in the recruitment process.Your Next ChallengeYou will report to the Technical Service Manager and lead the Production Geology Department. Your responsibilities include overseeing geological practices related to planning, organizing, managing, and controlling programs to define and extract mineral reserves/resources at the mining site and surrounding areas. You will ensure that goals are met while promoting Agnico Eagle’s values, health and safety standards, and environmental commitments.Manage the geology team, directing workflow and planning workforce needs to ensure efficiency and productivity.Collaborate with exploration and technical services departments to propose exploration, conversion, and delineation drilling programs or other specific projects.Plan, propose, recommend, and follow up on budgets for the geology department (annual and life of mine).Ensure proper reporting of geological activities (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).Plan, oversee, validate, and/or sign off on mineral resources and reserves estimates, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.Participate in assessing mineral potential of acquisition and exploration projects, analyzing risks and opportunities.Contribute to economic studies, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies, coordinating with other disciplines and producing technical reports.Provide technical support in geology to operations and exploration divisions.Assess and organize departmental training programs.Keep the department updated with new technologies and industry best practices.What You Need to SucceedBachelor’s Degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in underground mining, production, and exploration for gold.Qualifications to act as a Qualified Person as per NI-43-101 standards.Your Work Schedule:4 days of work followed by 3 days off at the Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON. #J-18808-Ljbffr Agnico Eagle Mines Limited
