The Property:
This spectacular 333 Unit, 374 key condominium hotel property is located three miles from Las Olas Boulevard's vibrant restaurants and shops, with Fort Lauderdale Airport less than seven miles away. Our guests love to unwind at our full-service spa and outdoor pool with private cabanas or take a luxurious walk and discover the sandy stretch of beach just steps away from our all-suite, waterfront resort.

The Future of Hilton Ft. Lauder Beach Resort:
The Resort has been going through massive renovations; all Units and corridors have been fully renovated with the Lobby/Porte Cochere under way and estimated to be completed within the next 6 months; a unique, first of its kind in Fort Lauderdale rooftop lounge is expected to be launched in September of 2023. The last big component is the development of a new oceanfront dining venue that should be completed within the next two years. The property has undergone a thoughtful and creative repositioning, and the full scope is expected to be implemented in 2024.

The Position: Reporting to the Area Vice President Operations, the General Manager is responsible for managing the daily hotel operations to achieve planned goals for the property in keeping with all corporate and brand standards. The General Manager will demonstrate leadership in directing the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing initiatives, financial planning and analysis, and operations excellence across all areas of the hotel to position this as a leading hotel in the market and convention competitive set.

The key goals of the General Manager are to maximize profitability and ensure guest and team member satisfaction. They are directly responsible for the success of housekeeping, front office, and food and beverage departments of the property including hiring, counseling, and evaluation. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring hotel implementation and compliance of Hilton Worldwide policies and procedures as well as Brand Standards. They will communicate with hotel owners and corporate offices, as required to accomplish these goals.

  • Prior experience with condo hotels, unit owners and homeowner's associations.
  • Lifestyle Hotel with Resort Experience
  • Luxury Hotel & Resort Experience
  • Past Involvement with Condominium component or Condo/Hotel and Owner Relations
  • Involvement in Hotel Reopening/Relaunching/Rebranding
  • Experience in a Senior Leadership capacity with a luxury or lifestyle property.

What are we looking for?

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years' experience as a Hotel General Manager, Hotel Manager, Resort Manager or equivalent
  • Experience managing a property with revenue of $30M+
  • Direct responsibility for budgeting and forecasting
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in lifestyle and/or luxury sectors
  • Ability to attract, motivate, lead, inspire and direct a talented team
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in the hotel industry, with multi-disciplinary background
  • 5 years' experience leading a property with multiple dining outlets, including fine dining, and banquet facilities
  • Experience managing complex owner relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, public speaking, written and oral, with the ability to customize the message to the audience (guests, team members, owner and other stakeholders)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Global experience advantageous, working cross culturally with guests and team members
  • Ability to communicate in other languages
  • Hotel renovation and repositioning experience
  • Hilton brand experience
