General Plant Laborer
Position Responsibilities:
Perform a range of physical/manual labor duties including, but not limited to, equipment maintenance, pallet repair, loading and unloading, and other miscellaneous labor work as needed (including repetitive lifting and moving of 80+ pound objects).
Perform general clean up around Plant, and maintains appearance of equipment.
Completes visual and daily safety inspection of equipment to ensure safe operations.
Other duties as assigned by Plant Management.
Education:
Other Related Experiences Required or Preferred:
Minimum of one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, write and speak English. Must have the ability to understand and abide by Company policies and safety rules.
Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred but, not required.
Experience working in the building materials industry is preferred.
· Must have the physical stamina to perform continuously with full body motion for climbing, reaching, pushing and lifting, etc.
· Constant- Seeing, carrying, gripping objects under 20lbs.
· Frequent- Bending, reaching, sitting, lifting objects under 20lbs.
· Occasional- feeling, climbing, balancing, hearing, stooping, standing, walking, driving, twisting, hand tools. Pushing and pulling objects under 20 lbs.
Carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling items from 20 lbs up to 94 lbs.
