Summary The Growing Tree is seeking a Full and Part-Time Teacher! We are a Center-based childcare and preschool that serves children aged 32 months through 5 years. We are currently working to expand our programming to offer a toddler room. We are hiring for a Preschool Teacher.
Duties - Know and follow CDD Child Care Licensing Regulations
- Being responsible for the care and supervision of children.
- Planning, preparing, and implementing a curriculum that aligns with the Vermont Early Learning Standards/TSG
- Maintaining a clean and organized classroom.
- Healthy classroom management skills.
- Develop positive relationships with children, co-workers, families, and external personnel.
Requirements Have or be in the process of obtaining:
- A minumum of 12-21 Credits in Early Childhood Education
- At least an associate’s degree in the Early Childhood Education Field, OR
- Childcare Development Specialist Certificate (Vermont Childcare Apprenticeship Program), OR,
- A Child Development Associate credential (CDA), OR
And
- Must pass a criminal background check & fingerprinting through the VT Child Care Development Division
- Infant/Child First Aid & CPR Certified (or willing to take within 3 months of hiring)
- Completed Vermont Orientation, Mandated Reporter, and Medication Administration training.
- Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs at any given time
- Must be able to play and move around with children in all settings throughout the entire day
- Must be comfortable and prepared/dressed to go outside with children in all Vermont seasons & weather
