We are seeking a dynamic Director of Risk Management and Performance Improvement to join our leadership team and drive quality improvement initiatives across the organization.

Position Overview

The Director of Risk Management plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive risk management and safety program. This position works closely with leadership, medical staff, and the Quality Council to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote continuous performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily performance improvement activities across departments.
• Review and analyze incident reports, patient surveys, and complaints to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare and present reports to the Quality Council, Medical Executive Committee, and Board.
• Assist with Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and state surveys.
• Manage official correspondence with accrediting agencies and ensure timely responses.
• Serve as Patient Advocate , addressing grievances and ensuring patient rights are upheld.
• Maintain compliance logs, performance metrics, and documentation for audits and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing or a health-related field (preferred).
• Experience: 23 years in healthcare or behavioral health with a focus on quality improvement (preferred).
• Licensure: Nursing or mental health license in Georgia (preferred).
• Strong computer skills (Excel, business writing).
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
