The Role

The Thomas Ranch Marketing Director is responsible for leading the Development's marketing strategies from inception to execution – helping to build the brand, support the sales staff, and ultimately reach sales goals. This unique position serves the marketing needs of Thomas Ranch, our 2,200-acre master-planned community in the Lake Travis area, and Loraloma, the private community within Thomas Ranch.

The Marketing Director's responsibilities span activities and channels, including strategic planning, sales collateral development and production, events and marketing experiences, public relations management, digital/social media marketing, partnership strategies, and on-property branding.

This creative and detail-oriented professional will work collaboratively with the Corporate Marketing SVP, the Thomas Ranch Marketing Coordinator, sales partners, the development team (land planners, architects, interior designers, and finance), and external agencies such as creative, PR, and digital. Strong leadership, management, and tactical execution skills are imperative for success.

The Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing marketing strategies to help achieve sales targets
  • Collaborating with sales and development teams to implement marketing campaigns
  • Designing marketing experiences to engage prospects and support sales
  • Crafting marketing materials for sales tours, events, client meetings, and other key prospect moments
  • Ensuring the brand is fully expressed across the property
  • Managing marketing budget to ensure initiatives stay on track
  • Evaluating and providing analysis on results of marketing initiatives
  • Assisting with business development including market research, target audience analysis, and story development

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred
  • 10 plus years experience in sales/marketing with luxury hospitality or real estate experience required
  • Strong understanding of the Austin luxury market and creative targeting ideas
  • In-depth knowledge of current marketing, real estate, and hospitality trends; ability to conduct comprehensive and efficient research
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written
  • Ability to lead and manage projects from start to finish
  • Self-starter and proactive. Can easily take direction and run with projects to completion
  • Excellent attention to detail across a multitude of workstreams
  • Highly flexible and accommodating to start-up environments; ability to take on a variety of roles simultaneously and manage constantly changing situations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of different teams and skill sets
  • Social media skills preferred
  • Strong computer skills including PowerPoint, Word, Excel; Photoshop and InDesign a bonus
