An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students to support K-12 learners in a dynamic school environment in Washington, NC. This contract position offers a career school year (CSY) duration working onsite with itinerant responsibilities across multiple schools. This role is ideal for both experienced teachers and new graduates eager to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across K-12 grade levels
• Deliver tailored educational services in multiple school settings within the assigned area
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to implement effective communication and learning strategies
• Monitor student progress, adapt instructional methods, and maintain accurate records
• Remain current with best practices and assist with professional development as needed

Desired Qualifications:

• Certification or credentials in Deaf Education or related field
• Willingness to work onsite and travel between assigned schools
• Openness to new graduates with relevant training and enthusiasm for working with DHH students
