This position reports to
R&D Team Lead
Your role and responsibilities
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Business. You will be mainly accountable for: •Ensure accuracy of certification records •Coordinate and execute of certification projects and testing. •Mechanical/electrical assembly of samples, test set-up, report calculation or data analysis, status on projects to cross-functional stakeholders. •Prepare certification document packages to support the product compliance. •Assist electrical/mechanical design engineers in determining testing requirements for product compliance. •Update certification databases with product information •Provide Support for product certification and characterization. •Coordinate product relationship with suppliers via factory locations, brand labeling agreements and repacking programs.
Qualifications for the role
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program engineering in the United States.
- Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
- Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
- Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
