Critical Illness Recovery Hospital - Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Responsibilities

We seek dedicated employees to champion the Select Medical Way, which emphasizes putting patients first, improving community quality of life, innovating, providing high-quality care, and doing what is right.

The CEO position offers a unique opportunity for hands-on hospital operations management in a critical care setting. The role involves providing leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight, focusing on business development, quality patient care, and fiscal responsibility. The ideal candidate will analyze complex situations, make effective decisions, demonstrate high integrity, positivity, and operate well under pressure. Must be a proactive self-starter capable of broad responsibilities in a dynamic healthcare environment. The CEO may serve as vice-chair of the Governing Board if no market CEO is present.

  • Conduct daily rounds on nursing floors, engaging with patients, families, and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and oversee the Complaint-Grievance Process.
  • Maintain hospital compliance with State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
  • Focus on employee engagement.
  • Develop and nurture key business development relationships.
  • Implement Corporate Case Management and PPS Model effectively.
  • Prepare annual operating and capital budgets, and a strategic plan for approval by the Governing Board.
  • Uphold high ethical standards, behave professionally and ethically, and adhere to all policies, including compliance, HIPAA, and professional standards.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Master's Degree required.
  • At least three (3) years of healthcare leadership experience.
  • Experience in finance management, strategic planning, and community health education.
  • Three (3) years of operations experience in an acute care or specialty hospital setting.
