Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of a broad base of business skills and content
• Implement a standard aligned, academic program which includes lesson plans, accommodations, assignments, and assessments
• Assume responsibility for the academic progress of students and actively work to ensure all students meet or exceed expectations on academic measures up to and including standardized tests
• Provide an engaging learning environment using a solid understanding of strategies to teach, assess, and promote effective upper level critical thinking/analytical skills to adolescent male learners
• Create and maintain a strong classroom culture with effective management skills, communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
• Collaborate with co-workers to ensure curricular coherences, discuss student work, share best practices and design opportunities for community building through incentives and enjoyment
• Communicate with school administration and leadership on all relevant matters as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
• PA Teacher Certification and/or prior secondary school teaching experience desirable
• Two years relevant work experience preferred

• Highest level of ethical and professional behavior and standards, acting as a role model for students
