Job Title: Box Truck Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Box Truck Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of products to customers or designated locations, ensuring prompt, courteous, and professional service. This a local driving job no over night stays. Start and end in the shop daily!

Responsibilities

• Drive a box truck or tractor trailer to deliver tires and/or wheels to a customer’s place of business or another location.
• Load and unload tires and wheels.
• Ensure accuracy on delivery invoices and obtain customer signatures.
• Fill out and attach tags or labels to tires, ensuring all retread tires are properly labeled before loading.
• Maintain cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of the truck.
• Complete daily mileage and pickup reports and submit them each day.
• Perform routine maintenance on the truck to ensure safety.
• Use all provided safety equipment and report any mechanical problems or unsafe situations.
• Ensure all products leave with the proper paperwork and report any policy violations.
• Perform miscellaneous job duties as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Complete and submit VMR, driver’s log, and pre/post-trip truck inspections weekly.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 year related work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and effectively communicate with customers or employees.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Basic computer skills, with training provided as needed.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Forklift Certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating lift gates, box trucks, tractor trailers, and forklifts.
• Ability to handle physical demands such as frequently lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds.
• Capability to work in various environmental conditions including wet, humid, and extreme temperatures.
• Professional appearance with clean uniforms provided as per company policy.

Work Environment

The work environment includes exposure to wet, humid conditions, and outside weather, as well as hot and cold warehouse settings. The noise level is usually moderate. Employees must have steel-toed boots or sneakers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $41600.00/yr.
