Volt is hiring for an Assistant Archival Asset Specialist in Burbank/Glendale, CA vicinities.
As an Assistant Archival Asset Specialist you will:
• Assist with the complex process of identifying, stabilizing, and organizing a large volume of historical assets (including paper, art, recorded media, and three-dimensional objects) for the purposes of digitization and documentation.
• Assist with organizing, tagging and inventory of a large historical collection of three-dimensional assets for long term archival storage.
• Assist with digital cataloging of key archival assets including the meta-data tagging of information that will be used in a digital database.
• Assist with special projects related to all archive functions including organizing assets for collection tours, prepping assets for exhibitions, supporting media releases, etc.
This is a full-time hybrid 4-month contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate must have:
• Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Airtable and digital asset management tools is helpful.
• Qualified candidates should be highly organized, detail oriented and have strong communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others in an archival setting and a highly collaborative environment.
• Knowledge and experience handling various historical assets including paper documents, artwork, recorded media, and three-dimensional objects.
• Requires handling of archival assets experience
• Experience with historical assets
• Digital asset management is a plus but not required
Pay rate: $27.00-$29.63/hr
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
