Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and supporting the broader AP function.
Key Responsibilities for Accounts Payable Administrator:
Perform three-way matching of vendor invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents in the ERP/accounting system.
Ensure purchase requisitions and invoices are accurately coded and approved according to company policy.
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor issues in a timely manner.
Communicate professionally with vendors and respond to inquiries as needed.
Provide backup support for payment processing, including ACH, wire transfers, credit cards, and check runs.
Monitor the shared AP inbox and maintain electronic filing of AP documentation.
Assist with month-end close activities, including AP reporting and accrual preparation.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and established accounting policies.
Participate in the year-end physical inventory process.
Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications for Accounts Payable Administrator:
High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in accounting, business, or finance
Associate’s degree preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
